NewVue’s Sarah Tavitian Receives Rising Star Award
Congratulations to our own Sarah Tavitian, who received the Rising Star Award at the Massachusetts Association of CDCs’ 2026 Community Development Summit in September.
As NewVue’s Small Business Senior Manager, Sarah is instrumental in advancing our efforts to drive economic growth and support small businesses across North Central Massachusetts.
We’re thrilled to see Sarah’s dedication and impact recognized, and we’re incredibly proud to have her on the NewVue team.
The Rising Star Award is awarded to MACDC member organizations’ staff or board members who are 40 years old or younger, who have demonstrated their potential, outstanding innovation, leadership, and achievement in community development.
“It is an honor to be nominated for the MACDC Rising Star award and it is even a greater privilege to have been selected as an award recipient,’’ Sarah said. “To be acknowledged for my work in economic development fuels me to continue NewVue’s mission. I am very grateful to NewVue Communities and MACDC for this recognition.’’
Sarah joined NewVue Communities as a Small Business Developer and grew a passion for serving entrepreneurs in the region. As of January 2026, Sarah was promoted to Small Business Senior Manager and has been making strides expanding the reach of NewVue’s Small Business Technical Assistance program. Sarah believes the “secret sauce” to economic revitalization is the collaboration among local organizations who share a common goal.
Congratulations to Sarah and the other three Rising Star Award recipients:
- Jackson Hamilton (Housing Corporation of Arlington)
- Andrea Grimaldi (Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation)
- Edily Vasquez (The Neighborhood Developers)
