NewVue’s Sarah Tavitian Completes Leadership Training

June 30, 2025

Congratulations to NewVue’s Sarah Tavitian for successfully completing an intensive leadership training offered by the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce.

Sarah, one of our Small Business Developers, participated in the 2025 Community Leadership Institute that started last fall. The group was recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Expo.

Sarah said the comprehensive leadership training she received from Dr. Michael Greenwood of Fitchburg State University stood out as one of the highlights.

“The inspiring teachings received from Dr. G will have a life-long impact on my leadership skills inside and outside the workplace,’’ she said.

Throughout the program, participants gathered monthly for day-long community educational sessions focused on topics including personal leadership, non-profit governance/volunteerism; education; media and crisis communications; healthcare; law and justice; legislation/public policy; arts and culture; and economic development.

The class broke out into smaller groups during the year to identify, manage and execute community service projects.

Since 1988, the program has helped to shape over 300 community leaders with immersive educational experiences and engagements.

“I will always remember my time in the CLI program and am thankful to be part of an organization like NewVue Communities that invests not only in its community, but also in the professional development of its team members,’’ Sarah said. “The North Central MA Chamber of Commerce’s Community Leadership Institute transformed the way I view leadership and made me want to become not just a future leader, but a present one.’’
